Agnes presents Cavalier

Deep, mellow house tracks happen naturally for Geneva's Agnes, who records here under the Cavalier alias. Agnes has been at it for the last decade, releasing music on Swiss labels such as Perspectiv, Drumpoet Community and his label, Sthlmaudio. A Million Horses lays down low, bass-y, percussive sounds with clear influences from Chicago and Detroit through 19 tracks. If you like a blast from the past, this record has a distinct '90s feel. A few audio tracks with unique samples and experimental audio make appearances, spacing out the similar-sounding numbers and making the whole more cohesive. Throughout A Million Horses, the samples Agnes uses are a highlight from start to finish. Moments of discussion, cool comments and handclaps all successfully meld into laidback, minimal house.
