An Actor's Life

BY James KeastPublished Jul 25, 2010

What started as a sort of "true tales of hidden Hollywood" has evolved into a touching chronicle of sentiment, love and great storytelling. Stephen Tobolowsky, best known as Ned in Groundhog Day (or from roles on Glee, Deadwood or Heroes amongst 200 screen credits) is a journeyman character actor. For his Tobolowsky Files podcast (www.tobolowskyfiles.com) he was supposed to reveal crazy tales of his small role life, but it's quickly evolved into a fascinating chronicle of love, loss and horse-related trauma. He still indulges the Hollywood-curious, but at his talented storytelling best, he's a sentimentalist who gets audibly choked up relating his emotional, occasionally hilarious journeys.
