Actionreaction

This New Jersey-based band defy easy categorisation. The core trio features former Further Seems Forever vocalist Jason Gleason (doing double duty on guitar) whose tortured emo boy howl can go from soaring and melodic to raspy and shredding as the mood of each song commands. He is accompanied by former Element 101ers Bella (keyboards) and Salvatore (bass). This chemical convergence combined with a mutual love of Sunny Day Real Estate, Beck and Queen drives the band’s sound. Their debut is most definitely steeped in punk and indie rock, but they easily incorporate elements of country ("Can You Hear the Sun”), disco ("March On”) and classic rock. A promising start for this new band.
