'Tiger King' Subject Joe Exotic Wants Brad Pitt or David Spade to Play Him in a Movie
As the world plunged in to quarantine to flatten the curve of the coronavirus, Joe Exotic emerged as a new unlikely star as the subject of Netflix docuseries Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness. Now, the imprisoned big cat breeder's ideas for a Hollywood adaptation of his story have been revealed.

Series co-director Rebecca Chaiklin told The Hollywood Reporter that Exotic (real name Joseph Maldonado-Passage) had suggested Brad Pitt to portray him in a film. Failing that, he thought "Joe Dirt" (the character portrayed by David Spade in the film of the same name) would also be a good casting choice.

No film production of the Tiger King's story has been confirmed, though a television drama series has been in the works since last year. Kate McKinnon is reportedly tied to the project, presumably as Exotic's longtime foe Carole Baskin.

Nevertheless, some actors have offered their talents for hire should a film adaptation get underway — including Dax Shepard, Edward Norton and Jared Leto. Jessica Chastain and Bryce Dallas Howard are even fighting over the role of the singer in a Big Cat rescue music video.
