Taylor Swift Blasts Netflix Show 'Ginny & Georgia' for "Lazy, Deeply Sexist Joke" About Her Dating History
"How about we stop degrading hard working women by defining this horse shit as FuNnY"
The dramedy debuted last week and despite mixed reviews has risen the charts of Netflix's most viewed shows. In one episode, however, the show had the throwaway joke, "What do you care? You go through men faster than Taylor Swift."
Now, the writers of the show will have to determine whether or not that line of dialogue was worth it, because Taylor Swift has mobilized her army of stans. When the episode first aired, the phrase "Respect Taylor Swift" started trending on Twitter. Now, Swift herself has responded.
In a tweet, she called the joke "lazy" and "deeply sexist," adding, "How about we stop degrading hard working women by defining this horse shit as FuNnY."
