If you've been having trouble knowing what to watch on Netflix, we have some good news for you. Today the streamer has officially announced its latest feature, and it's one where "Netflix does all the work for you."

The new user option is being called "Play Something," and it effectively adds a shuffle feature to your viewing experience.

"There are times when we just don't want to make decisions. A Friday evening after a long work week. A fridge full of food but nothing jumps out. A family movie night where no one can agree. We've all been there. Sometimes you just want to open Netflix and dive right into a new story. That's why we've created 'Play Something,'" Netflix's Cameron Johnson wrote in a blog post today.

"When you hit the 'Play Something' button, you'll be instantly met with a series or film we know you'll love based on what you've watched before. Or, with one more click, you can 'Play Something Else.'"

So yeah, it's basically a Netflix shuffle feature — something we've heard rumblings about for quite some time now.

The "Play Something" tab will apparently sit under your profile name and on the navigation menu on the left side of the screen, as well as on the 10th row of a user's Netflix homepage (if you ever scroll that far).

The feature is to be launched today globally on TV devices and will soon roll out on Android devices as well. As of press time, though, we currently don't see the "Play Something" feature on our Netflix account here in Canada.

As Netflix puts it: "When finding your next story, let the story find you."
