NBC have already tried making an American version of the hit British comedy The IT Crowd twice, including a failed pilot from 2007 with Joel McHale and Jessica St. Clair. Still, it looks as if the network will try turning it off and on again, with plans for another American series.
This time around, it appears they're making the right move in the hiring department. As Variety reports, they've signed on Graham Linehan, creator of the original series, to write and executive produce the reboot.
Casting information for the new series is not yet available. The original IT Crowd starred Chris O'Dowd, Richard Ayoade, Katherine Parkinson and Matt Berry. Ayoade was also on board for the aforementioned McHale pilot, which made things even more confusing.
Stay tuned for more info on the new IT Crowd as it becomes available.
