Want to go see a movie for cheap? Your chance is coming up, because theatres across Canada and the US will be offering $3 tickets this Saturday (September 3) for National Cinema Day.

This initiative from the Movie Theatre Association of Canada and the Cinema Foundation will offer ultra-cheap film tickets, and most of the biggest theatre chains in the country are on board.

All Cineplex locations will participate (offering $3 tickets for all movies and all showtimes in any format), as will Landmark Cinemas, Cinemas Guzzo, Cinemas Cine Entreprise, Imagine Cinemas, Magic Lantern Theatres and many independent theatres. Find an incomplete list of participating indie cinemas here, or check in with your local theatre.

Some of the major films screening this weekend include Top Gun: Maverick, Nope, Beast, Bullet Train, Thor: Love and Thunder, ELVIS, Three Thousand Years of Longing and Spider-Man: No Way Home. Oh, and Minions: The Rise of Gru, if you feel like getting suited up.
