We're a little surprised that he hasn't already adapted Malcolm in the Middle for an off-Broadway one man show, but James Franco will finally team up with Bryan Cranston in a new fatherly comedy.
As Variety reports, the film is called Why Him? and sees Cranston playing a dad who faces off against his daughter's douchey tech billionaire boyfriend.
While the premise sounds a little iffy (wouldn't the dad just see dollar signs and try to mooch off of the dude?), the film will likely be packed with jokes. It's being directed by John Hamburg (I Love You, Man), who's co-writing with Ian Helfer (Wainy Days). Ben Stiller is also attached as a producer.
This isn't the only Cranston/Franco joint in the works, either. The pair are also starring together in the upcoming In Dubious Battle, which Franco is set to direct.
