Matt Groening and David X. Cohen's beloved sci-fi series Futurama may have come to an end in 2013, but the show is finally set to return in a unique way. Rather than make episodes, producers and writers of the show are turning to mobile gaming.
A new game called Worlds of Tomorrow is being developed by the original Futurama team. They're working with TinyCo, the same company that previously brought Marvel Avengers Academy and Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff to your smartphone.
Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow will be a freemium app, meaning you can download the game for free but you'll likely bust out your credit card to make in-app purchases.
Look for the game to hit smartphone stores this summer. Keep an eye on the official game site for updates. You can also listen to David X. Cohen discuss the game with USA Today below.
