Actor Drake Bell is considered "missing and endangered," as per a Facebook post by the Daytona Beach Police Department.
UPDATE (4/13, 2:06 p.m. ET): the Daytona Beach police have updated the post, writing, "At this time, we can confirm law enforcement officials are in contact and Mr. Bell is safe."
The former Nickelodeon star born Jared Bell was last seen yesterday (April 12) near Mainland High School around at around 9 p.m. He was travelling in a grey 2022 BMV.
Police are asking any members of the public with information on Bell's whereabouts to contact Detective Jayson Wallace at 386-671-5207 or via email at wallacejayson@dbpd.us.
Bell rose to fame opposite Josh Peck on the hit Nickelodeon TV series Drake & Josh, which ran for four seasons between 2004 and 2007. Before that, he was a regular cast member on Amanda Bynes's The Amanda Show.
In June 2021, Bell pleaded guilty to a felony charge of attempted child endangerment and a misdemeanour charge of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles. He was sentenced to two years of probation and 200 hours of community service for the charges, related to an incident between Bell, now 36, and a 15-year-old girl in December 2017. They had met following months of messages exchanged on social media, described by police as "at times ... sexual in nature."
