Louis CK Warns Fans Not to Buy Scalped Tickets for Vancouver Shows
Published Sep 21, 2016There's no denying that Louis CK is one of the most popular comedians in the world. When you factor in his desire to keep ticket prices relatively affordable, it only makes sense that his shows would sell out. That said, take our warning now — do not buy tickets for his sold-out Vancouver shows from any secondary markets.
On December 7 and 8, CK will play Vancouver's Thunderbird Arena, where he listed tickets at an average of $50 each after taxes. The shows are his only Canadian dates on his current tour, and they're completely sold out.
If you're tempted to buy some off-market tickets to watch him deliver his wry observations, however, you should probably skip doing so. After all, in an email to fans, CK warned that he'll invalidate any tickets that are being sold on resale sites.
"Regarding ticket resale: we take great efforts and have many methods of finding out what inventory is being sold on broker sites like Stubhub and Vivid Seats and immediately invalidating those tickets," he said. "If the ticket becomes invalidated, we are not responsible, and unfortunately the consumer could lose money and not get into the show."
Don't say we didn't warn you!
