With Electric Sounds on its way to your ears next week, Toronto "balls-out" rockers Danko Jones are gearing up by releasing a music video for their new Damian Abraham-featuring pothead anthem, "Get High?"
The visuals come courtesy of Micheal "Crusty" Amaral, and feature the respective bandleaders on a weed- and off-brand Dorito-fuelled road trip to nowhere (to hang out with Maple Ridge, BC's Remo Nutrients).
"With the legalization of marijuana, it was inevitable a song like 'Get High?' would be birthed," explained Jones. "I just didn't know it would be our band that penned the anthem for potheads everywhere. Damian Abraham of Fucked Up even joins us to answer my question — Do You Wanna Get High? His answer is 'yes.'"
Danko Jones's forthcoming 11th studio album arrives September 15 through AFM Records internationally and Sonic Unyon in Canada. So far, they've previewed the record with "Guess Who's Back" and "Good Time." The band will tour Electric Sounds in Europe starting this fall.
