Titus Andronicus Take La Sera on North American Tour

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Feb 17, 2016

Titus Andronicus may have issued an album called The Most Lamentable Tragedy, but there's reason to celebrate, as the New Jersey punks have just announced a leg of North American dates with Los Angeles power pop trio La Sera.

Titus Andronicus are due to start a U.S. trip with Hold Steady frontman Craig Finn in about a week, but the headliners will be back on the road in May with La Sera.

Though the newly announced trip pretty well sticks to the U.S. club circuit, a lone Canadian show has been booked at Vancouver's Biltmore Cabaret on May 28.

You'll find Titus Andronicus' full tour schedule below, where you'll also discover a newly unveiled, stripped-down yet symphonic and Springsteen-ian remix of The Most Lamentable Tragedy's "Mr. E. Mann."

Of the upcoming tour, Titus Andronicus frontman Patrick Stickles said he's looking forward to bringing "positive vibes from sea to shining sea" with his old friend, La Sera frontwoman Katy Goodman.

"People don't really know but Katy and I were allies in our local rock scene back in high school," Stickles explained in a statement, "and we look forward to this cross-country road trip just as much as I used to look forward to our regular drives from 7-11 to 7-11 in those bygone, aimless New Jersey days."

As for La Sera, the band's new, Ryan Adams-produced Music for Listening to Music To album sees release March 4 through Polyvinyl. Ahead of hooking up with Titus Andronicus, they'll be crossing into Canada for concerts in Toronto and Montreal. The info on those shows is below as well.
