La Sera Details Ryan Adams-produced LP, Premieres New Song

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Dec 2, 2015

After recently revealing that Ryan Adams had been tapped to produce the next La Sera album, Katy Goodman has offered up rest of the details behind her forthcoming Music for Listening to Music To. The record has now been fit with a March 4 street date through Polyvinyl.

While we'd previously been teased with a trailer for the LP, a newly revealed tracklisting confirms that the full-length will feature 10 new songs from La Sera. Music for Listening to Music To is the follow-up to 2014's Hour of the Dawn, and La Sera's first for Polyvinyl Records. She had previously issued a trio of albums via Hardly Art.

As previously reported, Music for Listening to Music To was tracked this past spring at Adams' Pax-AM studio in Los Angeles. The album is said to feature plenty of off-the-cuff, one-take recordings, which apparently had producer Adams' catching the spirit of the songs perfectly.

Goodman had explained: "Ryan would be like, 'That was perfect,' and listening back, even a week later, he was always right."

Down below, you'll get the first proper taste of the set via a stream of its hootin'-and-hollerin' "High Notes."
