Rick Astley Gets Down with the Zoomers on "driver's license" Cover

He also mashed up "Never Gonna Give You Up" and Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You"

Rick Astley sure does love his covers nowadays — to varying reviews, if you ask Johnny Marr. Now, he's expanding into the zoomerverse by sharing his own rendition of Olivia Rodrigo's "driver's license" on BBC Radio 2's Piano Room.

The cover is backed by the BBC Concert Orchestra, and sounds exactly what you think Astley singing "driver's license" would sound like. It's a step up from the other song he performed in the Piano Room — a mashup of "Never Gonna Give You Up" and Ed Sheeran's retail smash "Shape of You." Listen to both below.

Covers aren't the only thing on Astley's radar lately. He shared his latest album, Are We There Yet?, last October.
