Following their acclaimed 2013 debut Woman and a 2016 Bonobo collab, Canadian- and Danish-born, Los Angeles-based duo Rhye have returned with some brand new music.
A new single titled "Please" marks the R&B group's first new music in four years, and it's arrived accompanied by a black-and-white video.
"Because we play live so much, we've built this show that's somewhat different from Woman. It's a little more psychedelic," frontman Milosh said in a statement. "I wanted to bring that to the second record. I really wanted to incorporate much more soulful and earthy colours. It had to be all live percussion and piano. The human intimacy had to come through the actual instrumentation on this record. 'Please' is the stepping stone to where we're headed."
That's not the only taste of what's to come, though. Rhye have also unveiled a second new song titled "Summer Days."
There's no official word yet on when we can expect the project's sophomore LP, but they have inked a deal with Last Gang Records. As we await further details of the band's upcoming plans, watch the video for "Please" below, and head over here to stream or download the audio versions of "Please" and "Summer Days."
