Lindy Vopnfjörd just delivered a new record titled Frozen in Time, which takes its name from a line in lead single "Melting." That track now has a music video to boot, and Exclaim! has the exclusive premiere.
The Icelandic-Canadian singer-songwriter enlisted the help of Lunenburg, NS-based animator Mike Gatti and Cambridge, ON-based horror and comedy writer/director Darren Hutchings for the video, with the former's Mortimer's Monster getting repurposed and spliced together with performance footage shot by the latter.
It's an enchanting blend of spooky stop motion animation and simple shots of a black-clad Vopnfjörd and his guitar against a sparse black background — and its arrival coincides perfectly with Halloween.
