If Killer Mike's claim that André 3000 is working on a solo album sounded too good to be true, it's because it was, with the Run the Jewels spitter now sharing he was completely joking.

Mike's recent appearance on Sway in the Morning (published June 20) saw him not only explain how André 3000 landed a guest feature on his new solo album MICHAEL, but reveal that the two cut another song together, and how he had hear "like nine, 10 joints" from the Outkast icon that remain unreleased.

Those details led host Sway Calloway to comment how it sounded like "'Dre got an album," to which Mike responded: "Yeah, I think we fly out in a couple of weeks to listen to it," assuring the studio he wasn't joking.

Now, as Mike tells Atlanta's V-103, "I was stoned out of my mind playing, teasing with y'all. Y'all done took the joke too seriously. But you know, [André 3000's] always making music. He's never not making music. So I got a chance to hear a lot of cool stuff…"

He continued: "If you want to hear Dre though, I know where you can. It's this album called MICHAEL that's out right now. There is Dre, Future, and Killer Mike…" That, or we'll have to catch him and his Mayan flute at an open mic somewhere in the US.
