Hear the Week's Best New Canadian Music: Leith Ross, Comeback Kid, Breeze

BY Exclaim! StaffPublished Dec 8, 2023

Pantone has just announced the colour of the year for 2024, and it shares its name with a form of facial hair: Peach Fuzz. We here at Exclaim! have a particular proclivity toward shades of orange for obvious reasons, but this "compassionate and nurturing" hue seems like something everyone can get behind.

Get lulled into a peachy state with this week's round-up of the best new Canadian music, which sees Winnipeg hardcore vets Comeback Kid return with the lead-off for their new EP, Trouble, and Amaal Nuux having every reason for "Celebration" as 2023 draws to a close.

This week in album releases, we have the sophomore LP from Exclaim! Class Of grads Breeze, Austra's score for Swan Song, and viral pop riser Tate McRae's Think Later, as well as a new deluxe edition of Leith Ross's debut To Learn.

Elsewhere, there's Sam Jr.'s anticapitalist anthem "YRU," Geddy Lee's unearthed demos from his 2000 solo album, My Favorite Headache, and much, much more.

The juice is sweet with The Eh! List below, presented by Mary Brown's Chicken & Taters — all Canadian and proud of it!
