Ahead of the release of their new EP Trouble — one of our Most Anticipated Canadian Albums of 2023 — Winnipeg hardcore lifers Comeback Kid have mapped out a Canadian tour for this spring, shared alongside the release of new single "Disruption."
The stint on the road will bring them to 17 cities across Canada, supported by Bay Area hardcore punks Spy at the majority of the dates. It all starts on March 20 in Halifax, followed swiftly by a Moncton show on March 21. From there, the band go forth to Quebec (Quebec City and Montreal) and Ontario (Ottawa, Kingston, London, Toronto and Hamilton).
Come April, Comeback Kid head to the western part of the country for gigs in Manitoba (Winnipeg), Saskatchewan (Regina and Saskatoon) and Alberta (Edmonton and Calgary) before closing out the run with a trio of shows in British Columbia: Kelowna on April 9, Victoria on April 10 and Vancouver on April 11.
"'Disruption' serves as our Call to Arms type song," lead vocalist Andrew Neufeld said of the new single in a statement. "The continuous rhythm pounding throughout the track that never really gives in, we met with a pace of urgency. Early AFI influences popped out as we were writing this, and we embraced that! It's about just getting through the next day, or the next step because it could all come crashing down at any given moment."
