After teasing the song earlier this week, Atreyu's new single "Save Us" has arrived. You can hear the band's first release since their split with singer Alex Varkatzas below alongside a video.

"'Save Us' is not only a reflection of where we are musically, but also a mirror to the world in this ominous moment in time," the band shared in a statement. "We chose to pair the powerful message with one of the heavier songs we've ever written. This song feels like the anthem that we all need right now. To us, it's a call to action to light the fire in ourselves. We can begin to make great change — but only if we look inside first."

A press release reveals that without Varkatzas, drummer and clean vocalist Brandon Saller will now move into the frontman role. Guitarist Porter McKnight, meanwhile, will handle harsh vocals, while Kyle Rosa joins the band as drummer. "Save Us" was produced by John Feldmann.

Initial reports of Varkatzas's departure surfaced in August, though the vocalist did not confirm or deny he had left Atreyu. The band then confirmed the amicable split in late September.

"Save Us" will appear on Atreyu's eighth studio album, currently being completed for release on Spinefarm Records. The band's most recent album remains 2018's In Our Wake.
