Odds are good that post-rock trio Battles will be playing new tunes on their upcoming world tour, as they'll be releasing their third full-length album by the end of the summer. Titled La Di Da Di, the New York outfit's next record lands September 18 through Warp.
A press release notes that this latest LP, which follows 2012's Gloss Drop, is "a mushrooming monolith of repetition." It's added that the record has guitarist Ian Williams, bassist Dave Konopka and drummer John Stanier working with "an organic techno thrum of nearly infinite loops that refuse to remain consistent," and that their approach to rhythm is especially "heightened and unforgiving."
Back in 2014, the band had hinted over social media that they had begun work on the then-untitled effort. Though previews from the set have yet to be made available, you'll find the full, 12-song tracklisting down below.
Additionally, you can check out the rather appetizing, somewhat sensually-charged food spread that serves as the album's cover art up above.
Battles' world tour starts off in Europe next month, but the unit have Canadian shows in Toronto and Vancouver in October. You'll find all of the date and venue details over here.
