The BIG Winter Classic is returning to celebrate Calgary in all its frozen glory for four days of bands, comedy, workshops and art in 2024.

Over 100 performers from all over the world will descend on the festival from January 24 to January 28 at the Beltline BLOX.

A bulk of the artists that have been announced thus far hail from major Canadian cities — DEBBY FRIDAY, Hot Garbage and Nyssa from Toronto; Hamilton's B.A. Johnston; Waahli and Barry Paquin Roberge from Montreal; Alex Nicol, Vox Rea and the Jins from Vancouver; and Sunglaciers, the Hi-Tops, Napolean Skywalker and Bry Webb, located in Calgary.

Notably, several of the aforementioned artists will also share the stage at Winterruption YEG in Edmonton across the same weekend.

Meanwhile, Vundabar (Boston), Battles (New York), Dave Hill (New York), Making Movies (Panama) and Meule (Paris) are among the international acts.

Discussions and panels on inflation, particularly as it affects the arts, will also be included in the festival's programming this year.

Weekend passes are on sale now at the BIG Winter Classic official website, where you can also check out additional lineup and event information.
