This much we know to be true: we've been given our first look at This Much I Know to Be True — the new Andrew Dominik-directed documentary profiling the collaborative relationship of Nick Cave and Warren Ellis.

Described as a companion piece to 2016's One More Time with Feeling, the film set to premiere at Berlin Film festival this month documents the duo's artistic partnership during the creation of their last two albums Ghosteen (Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds) and Carnage (Nick Cave and Warren Ellis).

In the clip, Cave prefaces a snippet of "Lavender Fields" — performed with a string quartet conducted by Ellis — by musing on the limits of self-definitions, especially ones occupation-based ones as a musician and writer.
