Radiohead's Philip Selway visited the NPR office to play a Tiny Desk Concert, showcasing a few tracks from his solo effort Strange Dance.
Accompanied by the American Contemporary Music Ensemble (ACME), Selway switched between piano and guitar to play "The Heart of It All," "Picking Up Pieces" and "There'll Be Better Days." The whole thing is pretty wholesome, with the musician showing gratitude for his band, his kids (who told him only "cool people" musicians do Tiny Desks), and Bob Boilen as he retires from NPR. Watch it below.
Strange Dance dropped in February, and Selway is following it with his new EP, Live at Evolution Studios with the Elysian Collective on Friday (December 8). As busy as he's been, he's still convinced Radiohead will be back in a few years.
