Ada Lea (a.k.a. Alexandra Levy) has donned her finest tutu to make her debut on NPR's Tiny Desk (Home) concert series, wherein she makes a home out of Montreal's renowned Hotel2Tango studio.
The singer-songwriter opens the four-song set with lurching devastator "damn" — one of Exclaim!'s 30 Best Songs of 2021 — from her sophomore album one hand on the steering wheel the other sewing a garden, ahead of continuing the story of a fateful New Year's Eve party with "partner."
Levy is joined by Felicity DeCarle on synths, with whom she relocates to the sofa for "writer in ny," as well as guitarist Chris Hauer, bassist Leighton Harrell and drummer Valérie Lacombe.
