BY Exclaim! StaffPublished Jul 14, 2023

We're officially in the thick of music festival season, and whether you're in a tent in a field or kicking back on a dock by a lake, Exclaim! is here with all of the week's best new Canadian music in The Eh! List.

Our current cover star, songwriter Allison Russell, brings joyful vibes with her single "Stay Right Here." Elsewhere, Bahamas takes a country turn with "Somebody Just Like Me," while Ada Lea returns with her first material in a couple years with "hometown."

We've got hip-hop from Haviah Mighty and Jazz Cartier, hypnotic electronic grooves courtesy of Jessy Lanza and Le Couleur, and arty pop textures via Fur Trade and La Force. Pop star Charlotte Cardin pays tribute to a legendary Canadian actor on "Jim Carrey," while KEN mode are characteristically ferocious on "He Was a Good Man, He Was a Taxpayer."

Soak in the summery mood of The Eh! List below, presented by Mary Brown's Chicken & Taters — all Canadian and proud of it!
