Considering experimental lo-fi popper Toro y Moi (aka Chaz Bundick) recently announced his upcoming sophomore set, Underneath the Pine, it was only a matter of time before the Columbia, SC-based artist announced tour dates in support of the disc.
Following the album's February 22 release date, the sometimes chillwaver will take to the roads in March. Some good news for Canadian fans: the month-long tour will find Toro y Moi stopping in Vancouver (March 28), Toronto (April 7) and Montreal (April 8).
While he will likely still be playing songs from his cotton-mouthed electro pop debut, Causers of This, not to mention the cutesy garage rawk of his "Leave Everywhere" single, Toro y Moi's set list is bound to be padded with cuts off his new, reportedly soul-styled set. If the recently leaked "Still Sound" is a good indication of what's to come, here's hoping Bundick will be rocking an electric piano, Stevie Wonder-style, underneath a gleaming disco ball.
As previously reported, Underneath the Pine comes out via Carpark on February 22.
