Khruangbin have detailed a new series of live albums, capturing performances alongside Men I Trust, Toro Y Moi and Nubya Garcia.
Arriving throughout the remainder of 2023 via Dead Oceans / Night Time Stories, a June 30 release captures Khruangbin & Nubya Garcia live at Radio City Music Hall in New York, while an August 11 follow-up presents the band and Men I Trust live at Toronto's RBC Echo Beach. The final LP, arriving September 22, captures a set with Toro y Moi live at the Fillmore Miami.
First to arrive is Khruangbin and Friends present: Live at Stubb's, Texas, a live set featuring tracks from fellow Texas natives Ruben Moreno, Kelly Doyle, the Suffers & Robert Ellis on the A side, with Khruangbin on the flip.
A "Texas Edition" of that first instalment features limited edition artwork, and is only available via Secretly Store and at retailers in the band's home state, while the forthcoming releases will receive similar treatments for their respective markets.
"We toured the world for over 18 months when global restrictions just started to slowly lift through the long-anticipated end of regulations," Khruangbin shared in a statement. "From our vantage point, to watch people come together through song and dance after a time of unified isolation was truly a spiritual experience. To watch and hear audiences sing along to the songs we released during the pandemic and to feel so loved and well-received was unquantifiable. We wanted to find a way to hallmark this journey and decided to do so through a series of live releases that also commemorate the artists who performed with us, as well as the artwork and photography from those shows. It was and is truly a time to remember."
