There's a Lot Going on with Neko Case's New Album Artwork

Her new 'Hell-On' LP is headed our way this spring

While we're known to round up the worst album art at the end of each year, an early contender has emerged three months into 2018 courtesy of Neko Case.

The artwork for Case's forthcoming solo LP Hell-On, as you can see above, is absolutely wild. Is she about to compete for a Guinness World Record with all those cigarettes? Was the smell of burning human hair not bothering her in the moment? What about that stick and poke gone wrong on her collarbone?

As Twitter user @ctrauty pointed out, an online listing reveals a release date of June 1 through Anti- for the album. It marks Case's first since The Worse Things Get, the Harder I Fight, the Harder I Fight, the More I Love You, which arrived in 2013.

Hell-On runs 12 tracks in length, and you can see the album's tracklist below.

Case last joined k.d. lang and Laura Veirs for their collaborative case/lang/veirs LP in 2016. In 2015, Case released career-spanning box set Truckdriver, Gladiator, Mule.
