The Sword Announce Hiatus, Cancel Australian Tour

The band "feel it is time for a breather"

Ahead of some U.S. tour dates in support of their Used Future LP, the Sword have announced plans to go on hiatus.

"After 15 years of nonstop recording and touring, the Sword will take a hiatus following their U.S shows at the beginning of October," the band wrote in a statement on Facebook. "The Australian tour scheduled for the end of October has been cancelled. The band apologizes to their Australian fans, but feel it is time for a breather."

The Sword did not indicate what led to the hiatus, or how long they would be inactive.

The Texas metal outfit had lined up stops in Brisbane, Melbourne, Lewisham, Adelaide and North Perth to close out the month of October. You can find their remaining tour itinerary below.
