As concerts make their return, Canadian rock lifers the Lowest of the Low are giving fans a little taste of live music in the form of Live at Lee's, a special 12-inch single due out in participating shops this weekend as part of Record Store Day.

Live at Lee's was recorded at the titular Toronto venue on December 14, 2019. It features "Bleed a Little While Tonight" on the A-side and a ska cover of the Weakerthans' "Pamphleteer" on the flip.

Frontman Ron Hawkins said in a statement:

When we took the stage on that joyous night, we couldn't have foreseen what was to come. Only three months later, COVID-19 shut down the city and slammed live music celebrations to a halt. But that night, Low Nation was packed elbow to sweaty elbow in a communion of everything we cherish and have built together over the years. One organism — dancing, singing and celebrating our shared experience. Friends, comrades and revellers. Looking back on it, I have to laugh at how oblivious I was — but then again there is no past or future when I see those familiar faces and share the stage with my stalwart bandmates. There is only one continuous 'present.' A room full of people 'doing the right now.'

Below, watch a behind-the-scenes video about the vinyl pressing. The cover artwork, which recreates the Who's Live at Leeds, is above.

Record Store Day take place this Saturday (July 17).
