The Sword Unsheathe 'High Country' Album Plans
Three years removed from the release of Apocryphon, Texas metal unit the Sword have decided to take another stab at marketing an LP. The band will release their next album, titled High Country, on August 21 through Razor & Tie.

The album plans were announced today (June 2), and though an official tracklist has yet to be seen, the band reportedly have 15 new tunes that will be spread across two slabs of vinyl. The group's fifth full-length studio release was recorded in Austin, with Adrian Quesada serving as producer. The recordings were later mixed by J. Robbins (Jawbox, Burning Airlines).

There aren't any audio previews at present, but live audiences may well get the chance to hear some of High Country this summer. The band will appear at Houston's Free Press Summer Fest on Saturday (June 6) and start a European tour in Norway the day High Country hits stores. Additionally, the band revealed over social media that there is "much touring to follow."
