Featuring former Dimmu Borgir members, Susperia is like a thrash version of Dimmu, minus the flash. Their debut CD shows the band has the ability to play some nice riffs, but it tends to get a bit boring as it moves along. Standard black metal song structures with whirly keyboards for atmosphere doesn't always make a good record. It often makes for a waste of time and to be honest, everything on here has been done before and it has been done better many times over. Fans of this genre would be better off investing their hard-earned coin in the new Dimmu Borgir. This is for collectors only.
