Structures Go on Indefinite Hiatus

Toronto's Structures are looking at their Life Through a Window, as the djenty metal core crew have announced their indefinite hiatus following a December farewell tour.

In a statement on Facebook, the band vaguely explained their reasoning: "This is not an easy decision considering how much we have put into this band since its inception in 2009, however we all feel that a healthy break is necessary for each of us for various personal reasons. We are all on good terms and have made this decision collectively."

They also thanked their various allies over the years: Sumerian Records (who released their two full-lengths), their management partners and booking agents.

This announcement comes at the tail-end of a rough year and a half for the band, which found bassist Spencer MacLean and vocalist Nick Xourafas leaving the group. The latter will join drummer Andrew McEnenay and guitarists Spyros Georgiou and Brendon Padjasek on their farewell tour, as will Obey the Brave, Exalt and Villains.

Structures added: "This tour will be a farewell tour of sorts, however, we are not fully closing the idea of picking things back up if and when the time is right. Who knows what tomorrow brings. We're also excited to have Nick joining us on these dates. It only makes sense that we finish off how we started. We will be playing songs from our entire catalogue."
