Your wishes have come true: Said the Whale's seventh studio album Dandelion — the follow-up to 2019's Cascadia — has officially blown in on the breeze.

The Vancouver outfit's new album follows a slew of five singles leading up to the release: "Sweetheart," "Show Me Everything," "99 to the Moon," "Everything She Touches Is Gold to Me" and "Honey Lungs." Dandelion is also the inaugural LP on Tyler Bancroft's own Everything Forever label imprint.

Ben Worcester described the album as "the most deep and lush and full" release from the band thus far, and the truth in that statement rings out across the grandeur of its nine tracks. Working with producer Steve Bays, Said the Whale took their time in the 18 months ahead of launching their pandemic-penned record to reflect and make the songs the strongest they could be. Everything about the collection seems to be a hallmark of thoughtfulness — as are the band's ambitions to inspire the next generation of artists through leading by example.

Even as a group that's been putting out albums together since 2008, Dandelion stretched the band beyond their comfort zone and expand their community to reach cinematic new heights — going so far as to collaborate with members of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra.
