Snail Mail Unveils Debut LP 'Lush,' Shares New Single

Lindsey Jordan will also be going on a North American tour

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Mar 21, 2018

Building buzz since her 2016 EP Habit, Lindsey Jordan has finally announced plans for her debut album as Snail Mail. Titled Lush, it arrives on June 8 via Matador.

The record hears Jordan examining what she knows best — "the passing trends, the awkward house parties, the sick-to-your-stomach crushes and the heart wrenching breakups" that come with growing up. It's something the Baltimore singer-songwriter has done a lot of since Habit, graduating high school and toured alongside acts like Girlpool and Waxahatchee.

Lush was recorded with producer Jake Aron and engineer Johnny Schenke, and it features instrumentation from Jordan's touring bandmates Ray Brown on drums and Alex Bass on, well, bass.

A press release dubs the final sonic results as "cinematic, yet still perfectly homemade."
