'English Tapas' (album stream)

The time has come for Sleaford Mods to serve up their English Tapas LP, and you can hear the entire thing through Exclaim! right here.

As previously reported, the LP was recorded by the duo of Jason Williamson and Andrew Fearn at Steve Mackey's West Heath Garage studios in London. The group's latest disc arrives through Rough Trade and features 12 tracks of the duo's signature rap-rant spoken word stylings.

According to Williamson, the record's food-themed title came from Fearn, who walked "into some random pub and saw 'English Tapas' scrawled on the menu board. Underneath this beautiful coupling of words were its components, half a scotch egg, cup of chips, pickle and a mini pork pie. It says everything about this fucking place. It's comedy, it's make do, it's ignorant and above all, it's shit."

Sleaford Mods will be bringing English Tapas to North America for their first tour of the continent this spring. They'll also be releasing "the definitive Sleaford Mods film" titled Bunch of Kunst, which you can watch a trailer for here.

Enjoy a late-night musical snack and take in English Tapas in the players below.
