As mask mandates continue to lift all over North America, SASAMI is joining the chorus of artists pleading with fans to continue to wear masks at shows.
The songwriter is touring North America in support of the new album Squeeze. She tweeted, "I fucking BEG YOU to please wear your masks at my shows. I am not a big band, if we get Covid and have to cancel shows I'm fully FUCKED."
Other artists have shared similar sentiments about the financial perils of touring in the pandemic, including the Weather Station and Sparks. As these artists have pointed out, a positive test can result in cancelled shows — which is exactly what happened to Spiritbox recently.
SASAMI will be touring internationally in the coming months, including a leg opening up for HAIM with stops in Toronto and Vancouver.
