Rich Aucoin is partway through a tetralogy of electronic albums, and he has announced a 2023 tour in support of the ongoing Synthetic series.
Aucoin's Is This the Real Life? tour consists of 10 spring dates, running through May and June. Four of the shows are in the US, while the other six bring him to Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Victoria, Halifax and St. John's.

In a note on Twitter, Aucoin wrote, "I can't stress enough how helpful it is for everyone involved in shows if you buy tickets early." He added that these shows are in "the only spots I think are financially possible to play atm." Additionally, he will be playing RBC Ottawa Bluestfest in July.
Aucoin is releasing the four parts of Synthetic at six-month intervals over two years. The first part came out last fall. This upcoming tour is one of Aucoin's last few tours with his long-running party format.
