Retox

'Beneath California' (album stream)

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Feb 3, 2015

After previously teasing their upcoming Beneath California LP with a couple of crushing cuts, Golden State punks Retox are now streaming the rest of the gut-punching platter online.

Opener "Die in Your Own Cathedral" sets the tone, barrelling forth with brutalizing beats, vocalist Justin Pearson's venomous screams and Michael Crain's demented guitar licks, here playing out like Dead Kennedy's reinterpreting the theme from The Twilight Zone. In addition to previously heard cuts "Let's Not Keep in Touch" and "Disappointing Grade," the full album stream also gives up hazardous, herky-jerkin' hardcore hits like the cash-criticizing "Without Money, We'd All Be Rich" and "This Should Hurt a Little."

You'll find all of Beneath California down below, courtesy of Dangerous Minds.

Beneath California officially lands through Epitaph/Three One G on February 10, the same day Retox starts a North America tour with Whores. You'll find the details on the trip, which hits Montreal and Toronto, here.
