After lending a verse to the Kendrick Lamar-curated Black Panther soundtrack earlier this year, California rapper Reason has announced his signing to Top Dawg Entertainment.
The news of the label's latest signing arrived through label founder Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith this afternoon. Tiffith also shared a link to Reason's first recorded effort for the label, titled "The Soul." You can hear it below.
Perhaps the signing had happened right under our noses, with Reason having already been named as a support act for Jay Rock's upcoming "Big Redemption Tour." You can find a full itinerary for the trek over here.
A native of Carson, CA, Reason delivered his debut mixtape The Free Album in January 2016. He released a second tape titled There You Have It in May of last year.
