Sometimes, the mard comes from within. It was only a matter of time until this happened to Noel Gallagher, who might need a little help remembering the words to some Oasis songs.
At 56 years young, the musician says the "ongoing march of time" is responsible for him forgetting his lyrics mid-performance — something he says happened quite often on his recent tour with his High Flying Birds.
"I've found myself on this tour consciously thinking: 'What is the next line to this song?' It's like, you've just got to think about it," Gallagher explained on Matt Morgan's Patreon podcast [via The Guardian].
Self-aware, at least, he admits he might need a teleprompter someday: "I'm sure, eventually, I'll need one."
Freeing his mind from lyrics could help Gallagher in other ways. Maybe now he'll learn to drive, or have even more brain capacity to pick fights.
