R&B songstress Lumidee found success with her dancehall-tinged 2003 earworm "Never Leave You," but Vancouver remix artist K-Rec has given it a new lease on life in 2015 with a reworked version of the track.
The Vancity producer drives the song into electronic territory, infusing it with pulsating bass and synths, though Lumidee's echoing "uh ohs" and the hand-clap beats of the original remain in tact — and just as catchy as they were more than a decade ago.
K-Rec previously proved his penchant for remixing the work of R&B starlets on last year's The Hit-Pop Remixes EP, but you can hear what he's been up to since then by giving his sparkly new take on Lumidee's song a spin in the player below.
