Lowest of the Low Return with Ontario Tour and New Songs

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Nov 20, 2015

After a brief stint as Low UK, Ron Hawkins and the rest of his Toronto alt-rock misfits have fully returned as Lowest of the Low. To celebrate, they've announced a handful of tour dates and, better yet, a pair of new tunes. You can hear the one-two punch of "The Kids Are All Wrong" and "In The Blink of An Eye" online now.

A distortion-surging stomp-out, "The Kids Are All Wrong" takes a look at generational divides, a David and Goliath-style battle between the ages and more. The track comes equipped with vocal harmonies aplenty and a trilled-out, shimmery guitar solo. "In the Blink of an Eye," meanwhile, pushes the tempo, with slammed drums and handclaps jittering beneath a cherry bomb explosion of power pop melodies. You'll find both tracks below, courtesy of Pheromone Recordings.

As for those tour dates, they begin next month and stick entirely to Ontario. You can see them all below. The band's lineup currently consists of Ron Hawkins, Dave Alexander, Lawrence Nichols, Dylan Parker and Brian MacMillan.

Tour dates:

12/04 Toronto, ON - The Horseshoe Tavern
12/05 Hamilton, ON - This Ain't Hollywood
12/10 Waterloo, ON - The Starlight Social Club
12/11 Peterborough, ON - The Red Dog Tavern
12/12 Barrie, ON - Roxy Sideroom
