Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj to Make Canadian Stops on Spring North American Tour

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jan 24, 2011

Lil Wayne has been a busy guy since getting out of prison last November. Almost immediately, the hip-hopper took to the studio to lay down some rhymes. He then unleashed the massively destructive "6'7", rumoured to be the first single off his anticipated Tha Carter IV album, and, well, he faced beat-jacking accusations over the tune too. But a lot of us on have been dying to see Weezy do his thing onstage, and now we'll finally get our chance.

The rap star will start a trip dubbed the "I Am Music II" tour in mid-March, when he will make his way from Buffalo, NY all the way out to Western Canada for stops in Vancouver (April 29) and Edmonton (April 28) before finally wrapping things up back in East Rutherford, NJ (May 1) for the Bamboozle fest.

The trip will allegedly coincide with the release of Tha Carter IV, which is slated for spring, but considering how long it takes for dude to drop a disc -- Rebirth, anyone? -- we will take this news with a grain of salt.

While seeing Weezy spit on stage would be worth the price of admission alone, the rapper plans to bring a number of notable pals on the road with him for "I Am Music II." Guests are said to include Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, and Beastie Boys DJ Mix Master Mike.
