Lady Gaga Will Give Deposition in Kesha's Sexual Abuse Case Against Dr. Luke

Lady Gaga will give a deposition in the ongoing legal battle between Kesha and Dr. Luke.

The Joanne singer was subpoenaed again last month, with Dr. Luke's representatives claiming she has "relevant information regarding, among other things, false statements about Dr. Luke made to her by Kesha."

In addition to demanding a deposition date from Gaga, Dr. Luke's team also requested a transcript of a text message conversation between Gaga and Kesha; a previous subpoena obtained a copy that was apparently so heavily redacted that it was incomprehensible.

Now, various online reports claim that Gaga is confirmed to give a deposition. Her and Dr. Luke's legal teams are expected to decide on an exact date before Saturday (August 19). Gaga has also agreed to provide unredacted copies of the requested documents.

Last month, Gaga's lawyers released a statement, insisting that the singer "is at most an ancillary witness in this process" and that Dr. Luke's reps were "attempting to manipulate the truth and draw press attention to their case by exaggerating Lady Gaga's role and falsely accusing her of dodging reasonable requests."

Throughout the ongoing court battle, Gaga has publicly voiced her support for Kesha on social media.
