London, ON-bred metal vets Kittie have been hitting rehearsals — apparently, their first time back in a practice space in five years — ahead of a pair of festival appearances this year.

Before they hit Blue Ridge Rock Festival in September and When We Were Young festival in October, the four-piece — the lineup of which currently comprises Morgan Lander, Mercedes Lander, Tara McLeod and Ivana "Ivy" Vujic — are giving fans a peek at what's to come with a short video filmed inside one of their recent band meetings.

"We look like we're jamming at a construction site!" Kittie shared on Instagram alongside a clip of the Lander sisters jamming. "This is the first time we've played together like this in 5 years. The feeling is unbelievable!"

Currently, the band have no Canadian tour dates lined up, but previously hinted that more Kittie shows could be in the works. Speaking with Audio Ink Radio's Anne Erickson last month, Morgan confirmed that they've booked all their 2022 performances, but that they "definitely will" play more shows next year.

"We don't have anything set in stone," Lander said, "but I think it's something that, like I said before, once these doors are open, I think we can expect to feel comfortable doing a few more little things here and there and hopefully we'll be able to do some more one-offs in the States and Europe and that type of thing."
