Calgary-born, Victoria-based singer-songwriter Kirsten Ludwig recently finished recording her second album Honest Tracks, and while it's not slated to arrive until the fall, Exclaim! has got the premiere of a new live video to whet your appetite for the new material.
"Cinnamon" will appear on the forthcoming release, and ahead of the studio version, Ludwig has shared a live rendition of the track with some visuals to boot. The video was shot at Infiniti Studios in Victoria back in March, and the soft, dark lighting and solemn, simple performance provide the perfect accompaniment to the tune.
A press release notes that the new record showcases Ludwig's penchant for writing music that conveys "vulnerability, strength, grace, and madness" at the same time, and you can find traces of all of those in the beautiful candlelit clip for "Cinnamon."
